Tukuche Peak Expedition 20 days
Trip Facts
Overview
the Tukuche Peak Expedition is one of Nepal’s most rewarding technical climbing adventures. Nestled between the mighty Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and Annapurna I (8,091 m), this challenging expedition combines remote trekking, glacier travel, alpine climbing, and breathtaking Himalayan panoramas into an unforgettable mountaineering experience.
Unlike the popular trekking peaks, Tukuche Peak offers a true expedition atmosphere with fewer climbers, pristine alpine landscapes, and a more authentic Himalayan adventure. The journey begins in Kathmandu before traveling through the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara and the picturesque Thakali village of Marpha, famous for its apple orchards and rich mountain culture. From there, the route ascends into the spectacular Hidden Valley, where climbers establish Base Camp and prepare for the summit through essential acclimatization and technical climbing training.
The final ascent follows the classic Northwest Ridge, crossing glaciers, snowfields, and steep alpine terrain before reaching the magnificent summit. From the top, climbers are rewarded with panoramic views of Dhaulagiri I, Annapurna I, Nilgiri, Dhampus Peak, Tukuche Himal, and the world’s deepest Kali Gandaki Gorge.
Our 28-Day Tukuche Peak Expedition is led by experienced Sherpa climbing guides and includes quality hotels in Kathmandu and Pokhara, comfortable tea house accommodation during the approach trek, and fully supported camping at higher elevations. With carefully planned acclimatization, professional logistics, high-quality climbing equipment, and a strong focus on safety, this expedition is ideal for experienced trekkers and mountaineers looking to take on one of Nepal’s finest technical peaks.
