Mr. Mingmar Sherpa is one of the most trusted and respected guides at Mountain Sherpa Trekking, known as a true hero of the Himalayas. With over 10 years of professional guiding experience, he has earned the admiration of guests from around the world for his honesty, warmth, and strong commitment to safety and service.
Born and raised in Taksindu (2,842m) in the lower Solu-Khumbu region, Mingmar grew up surrounded by the mountains he now calls his workplace. His deep connection to Sherpa culture shaped his values of integrity, hospitality, and responsibility from an early age, making guiding not just a job, but his lifelong passion.
A fully licensed trekking guide certified by Nepal’s Ministry of Tourism, he has completed advanced training in First Aid, Wilderness Response, and Leadership. Over his career, he has successfully led more than 30 Everest Base Camp treks and over 25 Manaslu Circuit treks, along with countless other journeys across Nepal.
As an experienced climbing guide, Mingmar has successfully summited Mera Peak, Island Peak, and Lobuche Peak multiple times. His calm leadership, technical expertise, and caring nature ensure every trek is safe, smooth, and unforgettable.
